Agroecology and Food Systems

The Agroecology and Food Systems course provides a comprehensive foundation in agroecology and examines its application in developing sustainable food systems. It introduces key agroecological principles and examines the ecological, social, and economic interactions shaping food systems.

The course is conducted physically for 48 hours (32 theoretical classes and 16 practical sessions). The course is an initiative of Kathmandu University, implemented in collaboration with LI-BIRD, WHH, HPC, ANSAB, and BMZ under the Green Evolution Project, with the goal of training 200 students by December 2027 and establishing a Living Lab at Kathmandu University.
